A team of engineers from Culver Aviation has developed the aerial monitoring UAV network, which allows to provide real-time 24/7 surveillance of any object, without human intervention.
The company will present its innovation, which has been conceived since 2020, at the Commercial UAV Expo in Las Vegas, September 6-8.
The Menatir system, designed by Culver Aviation, is a network of base stations in the form of containers with drones placed inside, enabling fully automated and uninterrupted surveillance of the earth's surface without human intervention.
The system's base station is a 20-foot container that can hold up to six drones simultaneously. All drones are launched from the container in automatic mode - at the operator's command in case of an urgent mission or according to pre-programmed tasks, including their takeoff and landing schedule, time, type and points of flight trajectory.
With six different payload options for the system's drones, the Menatir can be used for a variety of missions:
- Real-time video surveillance of any objects,
- HD-quality aerial surveys for creating orthophotomaps of the area,
- Monitoring of crops, forests, and water bodies using multispectral cameras,
- Landscape fire prevention with thermal imaging monitoring,
- Air quality analysis, etc.
Each container can contain aircraft with both the same payload and different payloads, allowing a wide range of tasks to be implemented simultaneously.
Creation of Menatir as a fully autonomous network system for aircraft monitoring required titanic work of Culver Aviation R&D department engineers. In terms of automation and scalability, our development today has no equivalent in Ukraine and abroad. Culver Aviation team is confident that Menatir will become a valuable source of Big Data and effective decision support system for business and government.
We are confident that our development will help make any environment more visible and controllable, and therefore safer.
We are looking forward to introduce Menatir to Commercial UAV Expo delegates and share more details about the system performance and its journey from concept to implementation.
More details to follow. Stay tuned for more news!
Commercial UAV Expo is an exhibition and conference focused on high-precision unmanned products for industrial use. This year's event will be held for the second time. September 6-8 in Las Vegas, Commercial UAV Expo will be a platform for leaders in the global drone industry to share their experiences.
