Culver Aviation is pleased to announce the opening of the UAV operator school in Kyiv and invites everyone to attend the training.
Classes in the 5-day basic course on the fundamentals of UAV operation start on Mondays. The first group of students in Kyiv started training on August 15.
Culver Aviation's UAV operator school began operating on April 18, when the company's operations and office were relocated to western Ukraine after the russian terrorist incursion. Over the 14 weeks of work, the courses were attended by 150 students, including both citizens and internally displaced persons. Now residents of the capital and the suburbs also have the opportunity to get a new profession.
Students of the operator school will learn how to operate a UAV, get basic knowledge of land remote sensing, the basics of aerial photography and aerodynamics. The School is taught by experienced Culver Aviation instructors with real experience in drone control, as well as specialists from the company's R&D and GIS departments.
After successful passing the course, all graduates receive a certificate from Culver Aviation.
Who needs drone operators?
According to the UN International Labor Organization, almost 5 million Ukrainians have lost their jobs since the start of the war. The number of vacancies has decreased even in the IT sector: now there are about 40% of the pre-war level.
In such circumstances, the opportunity to get a new profession becomes very relevant. Drone operators are in demand in agriculture, forestry, ecology, construction, defense and media. For example, 4 times more fields in Ukraine are cultivated by drones annually than the year before. In addition, as the Growford Institute expects, when the war is over, the greatest rate of growth will be in industries that will work to restore the domestic market, particularly in the agricultural sector.
With the Culver Aviation drone operator course, you have the chance to:
- begin to master a new profession and fly for commercial orders
- learn how to create orthophotomaps, 2D and 3D area models
- monitor accidents and natural disasters while flying a copter
- gain knowledge of aerial photography and principles of photography and filming with drones
The most successful students of the operator school are immediately offered a job: 10 graduates have already been employed by Culver Aviation, and the company continues to train its staff reserve.
