On the last Saturday of summer is celebrated the professional holiday of Ukrainian pilots - the Day of Ukrainian Aviation. This year the holiday fell on August 27. Culver Aviation joined the events dedicated to the Aviation Day.

On August 27, an art object designed to memorialize defenders of the Ukrainian sky was officially opened.

A new mural appeared in Podil, the historic neighborhood in Kyiv, 3/7 Mezhigorska Street, which portrays one of the pilots of the 40th tactical aviation brigade, known as "The Ghost of Kyiv", in the Mig-29 cabin. The idea of the mural belongs to the team of the "For My Ukraine" charitable foundation, and it was realized by the muralist Andrei Kovtun.

Culver Aviation gladly accepted the organizers' invitation to join the opening ceremony of the mural, and Vladislav Yakimenko, R&D department engineer, conducted a master class on aeromodeling for children.

Culver Aviation also co-sponsored the first international Drone Hackathon, which took place in Kyiv on August 26-29. The event was organized by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. Oleksandr Danilenko, founder and CEO of Culver Aviation, visited the hackathon.

The hackathon for design engineers, radio engineers, drone operators and programmers aims to raise the level of drone production and technical support, which would allow not to buy them abroad, but build and maintain them on industrial scale directly in Ukraine. The event was attended by 150 participants.

"Holding of such event is another important step towards the development of the Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle industry. Drone aviation over the past decade has taken its rightful place in both military and civilian fields, and I am convinced that such events will help bring the national development, production and technical support of drones to a new competitive level.

I am especially pleased to see the participants of the hackathon on the eve of the Ukrainian Aviation Day. With their hard work, innovation and creative search they increase glorious traditions of Ukrainian aviators and bring our victory closer. I believe that with such defenders the Ukrainian sky is in safe hands", Oleksandr Danylenko, CEO of Culver Aviation.
